The December PopSugar box has arrived, all full of sparkle and shine.
Here are the items.
SPUN by Subtle Luxury – Speckled Metallic Scarf $62
This is a nice lightweight scarf with just the right amount of shine for the holidays. I’ll probably pack it for my upcoming trip back to see family.
Canvas Dauville – Platinum Bowl $29
The interior of this bowl is intensely shiny and very pretty next to the tree.
Sparklepop – Sydney necklace $42
This is a long gold necklace with a clear stone at the end. This will look nice with some of my items from Golden Tote.
Smashbox – Be Legendary Long-Wear Lip Lacquer $24
The color looks a little dark on this, but I’ll give it a try today.
Knot & Bow – Parcel tags $4
I’ll add these to my gift wrapping supplies.
Williams-Sonoma – Cupcake Mix in Vanilla Bean $14.95
Yum! I’ll add some chocolate frosting and it will be my favorite cupcake combination.
Overall
For $39.95 a month, the PopSugar Must have box has consistently been a good value. I’ve gotten some really nice things from the boxes, and it usually matches my taste. This month, my favorites were the scarf, bowl and necklace.
There were so many items I liked for the December Golden Tote that I decided to go ahead and get two this month. I’ll be giving four of the items away, so please look closely at the bottom of the post for Giveaway details.
Here were the items I selected.
Shabby Sheep Coat
Tres sheep!
I love this furry super soft coat and can’t wait to wear it. It’s a little bit “out there” but I don’t care. 🙂
Winter Wonderland Top
Sparkles!
This top is so pretty and perfect for the holidays.
Cozy Cable Knit Raglan Sweater
This is actually a hi-lo sweater and is super cozy and soft. I think it will look cute paired with my brown skinny jeans or black skinny jeans and boots.
Western Plaid Buttondown
They didn’t send me a style card with this one. In the picture online the model was wearing it with a cream colored thermal underneath which is how I plan to wear it.
And here were the surprise items.
Zip Cowl Neck Sweater
This is a nice heavier weight sweater and I liked the look of it. The sleeves were a teensy bit short, but I usually push them up anyway. Definitely a keeper.
Fantastic Fawn Striped Tunic
I think this has a bit of a clown prisoner look. I also look slightly pregnant. (No good.) I might wear it with a fitted jacket on top which toned down some of the flare but would hide the cute back. It is really soft and I will see how I can make it work.
Promesa Thermal Top
This top is soft and very thin which would require a top layer, but it’s almost too cute to cover up. It had nice little elbow patches. This is a keeper.
Miracle Lace Panel Sleeve Sweater
This one is quite big on me and a size larger than I would normally order. I’m not sure why they sent this in a Large? If it was more fitted it would be pretty cute. The neck is super wide and it’s really long.
Black Sweater with open stitch arms
This is another nice medium weight sweater, but the holes in the arms will likely make it colder. I can’t wear anything underneath because it would make it snug and hide the cute detailing.
Black Floral Blouse
This blouse is a super soft lightweight fabric and I like the pattern. It’s a keeper!
Overall, I think this Golden Tote was a pretty big success. I have a bunch of new items I can’t wait to wear!

I haven’t done any “what I’ve made” posts lately, but thought I’d share this adorable holiday craft. It’s a felt reindeer that took a while to make but was totally worth it. I got the pattern on Etsy from CynthiaTreenStudio and love her stuff.
I sent the second one to my Mom and she loved it. I was planning to make two more for my mother in law and sister in law but just ran out of time. It was fun and the end result was totally worth it.
Looking back, I see that I wore a lot of black and Cobalt blue. I’ve definitely made the transition to dark winter colors without even realizing it. Here’s what I’ve been wearing.
I got inspiration for the red jeans outfit from pinterest. I wouldn’t have thought to pair stripes with leopard print, but it works!
I got this dress from Kohls on Black Friday. It’s a nice soft knit and warm for the office.
These are my cobalt pixie pants from Old Navy and my beloved bomber jacket from Golden Tote.
Here I paired my Boden British Tweed Mini with a sweater I got from Target (also on Black Friday) and my Loft booties.
The skirt is from a few years ago from Loft, and the blouse is from ModCloth or Piperlime, I can’t remember which.
