I wore my patterned sweater and squirrel dress last week. I am completely enamored with Boden and love both pieces.
I paired the Boden pattern sweater with a short sleeve white button up, red jeans I got from stitch fix, and some black boots. I liked the way the white collar shirt contrasted underneath. Boden is having a sale right now for 25% off everything, and I highly recommend this sweater. It’s so soft and no wool!
I was stopped by a stranger in Charming Charlies who told me she loved my dress and thought it was vintage. The Hartland Dress from Boden is made from a corduroy fabric that is so soft and I love the pattern.
I got this jacket in my October Golden Tote and I love the feel of it and all of the details. The faux leather is soft and it has a cute buckle at the neck. I also like that it has a hood. It’s currently available in the November $149 tote and also the boutique for $75.
Finally, I had to give part of a keynote speech last week and decided to dress a little more professionally for work. I got the skirt at Ann Taylor Loft, and was happy with the fit and comfort. It’s nice and stretchy and didn’t feel restraining like some pencil skirts do. I paired it with an older cardigan from banana republic and a black and white blouse.
And finally, I wore the dress from my last Golden Tote when we were going out to dinner on vacation last weekend. It was one of the surprise items, and I ended up liking it better than the dress I had picked.
Here are some of the things I’ve been wearing in June.
I got this Maxi Skirt on sale at Kohls and paired it with my usual jean jacket and some comfortable sandals. The boho necklace is from Ann Taylor Loft.
The Blue Skirt and graphic tee are from Ann Taylor Loft, the necklace from Kohls, and the shoes are Nine West.
The knit circle skirt is from Ann Taylor Loft, and I have it in 4 colors. It’s incredibly comfortable and easy to pull on when the weather warms up as an alternative to shorts. I wear them both to work and on the weekend. Here I paired it with a sweater from Ann Taylor Loft and a scarf from London.
The striped blouse was from Stitch Fix, and the cardigan from Piperlime.
The Maxi dress is from Target, and the bag is Kate Spade. I paired it with my favorite jean jacket.
The top and necklace are from stitch fix. I paired it with a white linen blazer I got from Nordstrom last summer.
In an attempt to mask the poorly placed gathering on this dress I wore the belt a little lower, but you can still tell it gives me a weird shape. Once again, my jean jacket. (I realized from these pictures that I’ve been wearing it a ton.)
I find that this silhouette works really well for my shape. The A-line pulls away from my hips and gives me a nice straight shape. The skirt is from Boden and the cardigan is from Old Navy.
I’ve been really bad about posting what I’ve been wearing lately, so here are a few things I wore in December.
I took this picture on our “Snow Day” we had here a few weeks ago. We only got around an inch, but everyone was freaking out and all the schools were closed. Most of my co-workers flaked out and didn’t show up, but being from the Midwest originally I didn’t really mind and went in anyway. Usually the biggest threat when it snows here is other inexperienced drivers, but I just watch out for them. The skirt is from Ann Taylor Loft, and the blouse is from Old Navy.
The thing I loved the most about this outfit was the shoes. I love those sparkly flats! The jacket was from Ann Taylor Loft, and the tee was from JCrew.
This is one of my favorite dresses and I’ve had it for a few years. I love the asymmetrical hem and the pattern. It’s also a nice soft material and great for the winter time. We were having some pretty chilly weather this December so this kept me warm with the tights and boots.
This is one of my favorite color combos with mustard and black and white. The top is from Anthropologie, and the sweater is from LOFT. I also really love these flats I got at DSW. Comfy and electric blue.
I got this sweater from Piperlime last winter, and like it paired with these eggplant skinny jeans and these awesome skull print rhinestone studded flats.
I wore this blanket sweater on one of our cooler days here and was nice and toasty! I think I got this from ModCloth.I also really love this skirt. It’s a nice long wool skirt that keeps me toasty and I paired it with this rust colored sweater from Target. The skirt was from ModCloth.
Again, I only remembered to take pictures 3 times, but here is what I wore.
Red Skirt and Polka Dot Blouse
I really love this skirt I bought at Ann Taylor Loft back in the early fall, but it was gaping somewhat unattractively and I’m not sure the cut really works with my shape. The color is beautiful though and it went well with this sleeveless white polka dot blouse I also bought from Loft.
Burgundy Blouse and Leather Jacket
This was a somewhat leather heavy outfit between the jacket and the boots, but it’s getting really cold outside and the jacket helped keep me warm in the office. The blouse was from one of my stitch fixes.
Dress and tights
The dress and necklace were from an old stitch fix, and the cardigan was from Target. I paired everything with these teal tights, but I didn’t love the look of the tights. I think I’ll stick with black and neutral tights. For some reason the color made me look sort of sickly.
