Here are a few of the early summer outfits I’ve been wearing.
Banana Republic Floral Tank
I love this silk floral tank from Banana Republic and paired it with a cobalt blue cardigan and my dark skinny cropped jeans.
Hot Pink Blouse
I was feeling a little “Rocker Chic” with this blouse from Target. I like the way it overlapped and the bright pop of color.
Yellow Tee and Chevron Scarf
This outfit was actually inspired from something I saw on Pinterest with a basic yellow tee and a black and white chevron scarf. I had to add the grey military style jacket because the weather was a bit cool that day.
Full Vintage Style Skirt
I got this Roses are Radiant skirt on sale from ModCloth and felt so feminine in it. I love the red envelope tee from OldNavy that I paired with it. All day I was twirling slightly and loving the feel of the long skirt.
Here are some of the things I’ve been wearing this month.
Old Navy printed tee
I love these T-shirts available at Old Navy right now. I got it in all three colors, mint, white and pink. They are on sale right now for only $8.
Banana Republic Gemma Dress
I wore this dress for a big presentation to some higher ups, but when I got to work in the morning I found out the presentation was postponed. I’ll have to pull it back out when it gets rescheduled.
Stitch Fix Wrap Dress
I seriously love this dress. The fabric is so nice and it lays nicely and is the perfect length.
Stitch Fix Wrap Top and necklace
I had mixed feelings about this wrap top from Stitch Fix. It looks cute from some angles and my husband told me it was flattering, but then I’d catch a glimpse in the mirror at other times and have to readjust because it was not sitting in a flattering way. It is soft and comfortable though.
Banana Republic Factory top and necklace
I bought this top and necklace when I was in Hawaii at the factory shops. I love the colors and the silky fabric. It paired well with a navy cardigan.
Orange Gap Dress
I bought this dress last year and never wore it. I had such reservations but decided to pull it out this year and wear it at least once. It’s cute on and the color and pattern are nice, but it’s too short for me to feel comfortable and when I sit down it hikes way up which was uncomfortable at work when we have casual meetings in my office with me facing people in my chair. I have already donated it to charity after a closet clean out.
Boden Easy Day Dress
I love Boden and this dress is fabulous. The fabric is soft and I love the polka dot pattern. It also came in a long length which is perfect for me to wear to work. I threw on a soft purple cardigan and some black wedge sandals and was comfortable at work. It’s on clearance right now for $70.56.
Boden Riviera Shirt Dress
I also really love this dress which is also currently on clearance for $70.56. I felt very chic wearing this to work and love the way it flatters my figure.
Stitch Fix Top and Mint Jeans
I wore this new stitch fix top with mint jeans as the cards had suggested and a jean jacket. I liked the overall look.
I haven’t been good about posting outfits lately, so here is a short recap of some of my favorite things I got to wear in April.
Mustard Cardigan and Skirt
I absolutely love anything mustard colored and this cardigan is one of my favorites. The cardigan, tee, and skirt are from Ann Taylor Loft last year.
Striped Stitch Fix Top
I had a chance to wear my green/gray striped stitch fix top.
Easter Brunch
We went out for Easter Brunch and I wore this old dress from GAP paired with some shoes from ModCloth.
Military Style Jacket
I got a new linen tee from Ann Taylor Loft and paired it with my military style jacket. This is one of my favorite laid back go-to looks.
Wrap Top – Old NavyBreezy Loft top
I got this flowy top from LOFT and paired it with a pale pink cardigan from Old Navy.
Faux Suede and Leopard Pumps
This was one of my favorite looks. The faux suede jacket is from Piperlime and the pumps are Nine West. I felt so chic!
Green Dress – New York and Company
New York and Company had some really great spring dresses this year. I got this one along with a pink floral one I haven’t worn yet. Both are really flattering for my shape and a nice length for work.
Stitch Fix Dress
Love this dress. The length, the flow of the fabric and the cut and color. Great Stitch Fix find.
I wore this striped maxi skirt from Ann Taylor Loft with a blue GAP sweater and scarf. It was the first time I wore a maxi skirt in the winter with tights, but I liked the look and think I’d wear it again.
Peter Pan Collar Sweater
I bought this sweater from LOFT in the early fall and planned to wear it with a skirt, but decided to pull it out this week to wear with black jeans and my favorite rhinestone skull flats.
chevron sweater from Stitch Fix
I had been hesitant about this purchase from stitch fix, but when I paired it with a skinny jean, a black long sleeve tee and these boots, I liked the look. It is comfortable and kept me warm enough in the office. Glad I kept it.
silk baseball tee
I got this mixed media tee by Hive and Honey from Piperlime. The fabric is so soft and I loved the pattern. Unfortunately I wore it to a cooking demonstration after work where they were grilling onions and I need to somehow wash it without ruining it now. We’ll see how that goes.
Victoria’s Secret Sweater
I got this 3 way sweater from Victoria’s Secret for Christmas and love how soft and over-sized it is.
orange dress from ModCloth
I bought this dress from ModCloth last year and love the color and shape. I enjoy wearing it with black tights, boots, and a cardigan.
chunky sweater from Stitch Fix
This sweater was in my last stitch fix, and I decided to wear it with a blush silk blouse underneath and skinny jeans and boots. It was really comfortable but I don’t know how flattering it looked.
This cape from Kate Spade had been hanging in my closet with a nice bag over the hanger to protect it for the last year or so. I had purchased it on sale and was so excited to look at it in my closet that I failed to actually wear it. It seemed worthy of a special occasion that never came up and so I finally decided one day that I was just wearing this to work for no reason at all, other than I love it. I love the weight of it, the cut, and the fabric. I felt a bit like a caped crusader.
Black Lace Dress from Golden Tote
I adore this dress. The cut, the fabric, the way it looked awesome with my military jacket, all of it added up to awesome. It looked cute without the jacket, but I ended up wearing the jacket all day at work to keep warm and it kept it casual.
Teal cowl neck from Stitch Fix
I wore the teal cowlneck top from my last stitch fix with this super cozy furry cardigan I bought many years ago at the Nordstrom anniversary sale. It was a very cozy outfit and kept me warm.
Navy Patterned Dress from Stitch Fix
I paired this navy and white shirt dress from Stitch Fix with a purple cardigan and black tights and boots. I actually thought the dress was black and white until I got in my car and saw it in the dreary daylight. I probably wouldn’t have worn black tights and boots if I knew it was navy, but I’m sure no one noticed.
Today I decided to dress up a bit more than usual since I’m going out to a movie after work with my hubby. I paired this stretchy red pencil skirt with a black heart print blouse and a pair of adorable scotty dog shoes. I’ve had these shoes for years but never had a chance to wear them until now.
Valentine’s Date OutfitClose up of shoes
And here are a few other outfits I put together this week.
This is a sweater and skirt I got from Boden and had been waiting for an opportunity to wear. The skirt is my favorite color and I love the fit and pattern of the sweater.
This is a wrap top I got in my last stitch fix, and I’m wearing it with a necklace I made from “For the Makers”. The top was an interesting piece and I’m glad it made it into my last fix.
